SparkGrid Games ("we," "us," "our") publishes Number Workshop (the "App"), a mobile number-puzzle game. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We are based in Malaysia.
On first launch the App generates a random identifier (a UUID) on your device and creates a guest save on our servers under that ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any real-world identity. You are given an automatically generated nickname, which you can change.
Your progress is stored on our servers so it stays in sync across sessions and devices. This includes campaign levels and stars, endless-run results, daily-challenge results, quest progress, your coin and hint balances, which cosmetic items you own and have equipped, and your in-app settings (sound levels, haptics, notification choices, and language). Because progress is stored server-side, the App needs an internet connection to play.
We record which devices are associated with your save, and when each was last seen, so that your progress can follow you and so we can enforce our one-account-per-device rule. Each device is linked to a single account, though one account may be used on several devices.
A small set of technical values is kept locally and is not personal data:
Google AdMob and the ad partners it works with (listed in section 5) may automatically collect technical and device information (such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device model, and ad interaction events) as described in section 5 below.
Signing in is optional. You can play indefinitely as a guest. Linking an account exists so your progress is not lost if you change or reset your device.
If you choose to link Google or Apple, we receive a signed token from that provider and verify it. From that token we keep only the provider's opaque user identifier — a meaningless string that identifies you to us and to nobody else — so we can recognise you next time.
If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option. Because we do not use your email address at all, this makes no difference to how the App works.
You can unlink a sign-in method from Settings at any time, as long as at least one remains on the account.
The App has public leaderboards for endless mode and campaign progress. Your nickname and your score are visible to other players on those leaderboards. Nothing else about you is shown — not your device ID, not your sign-in provider, and not your email address (which we do not hold).
Please do not use your real name, or anything you would not want shown publicly, as your nickname. You can change your nickname at any time from Settings.
We do not use your information for any purpose beyond operating and improving the App, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles of you ourselves.
The App uses Google AdMob to show interstitial ads and optional rewarded video ads (ads you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward). AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, general location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data in order to serve and measure ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and EU User Consent Policy.
To fill each ad, AdMob runs an auction in which the advertising networks below can also compete to show it. Each network's software is included in the App and, when an ad is requested or shown, may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address and the general location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interaction data. They use this information to serve and measure ads, to personalise ads where you have allowed it, and to prevent ad fraud. Third parties may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from the App and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. Each network handles this information under its own privacy policy:
If you buy the Remove Ads item, the App stops showing ads to you.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, the App shows Google's consent form on first launch so you can choose whether to allow personalised advertising. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the App.
On iOS, the App also asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking identifier is used. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.
Wherever you live, you can opt out of the collection and use of information for ad targeting. On iOS, use the tracking setting above. On Android, you can delete or reset your advertising ID under Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices Settings → Google → Ads). You can also learn more about interest-based advertising and opt out at www.aboutads.info/choices and www.youronlinechoices.eu.
California residents: you can limit ad personalisation using the controls above, using your device's own ad settings (Settings → Ads on Android), or by contacting us, and we will action your request.
We do not use any analytics or crash-reporting service. The App does not include Google Analytics, Firebase, or any comparable SDK. Our servers keep ordinary technical request logs so we can diagnose faults; these are not used to profile players.
Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their own privacy policies and payment terms. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details.
To deliver what you bought and to stop the same purchase being credited twice, our servers verify the receipt with Apple or Google and store a record of the transaction: which product was bought, the store's transaction identifier, and when it happened.
The App can send you optional reminders — a daily-challenge reminder and a come-back reminder. These are scheduled on your device; we do not operate a push-notification server and we do not send you marketing messages. You can turn each reminder off in Settings, or revoke notification permission entirely from your device settings.
We retain your game data for as long as your account exists. Short-lived records created while you play — such as issued puzzle boards and finished endless runs — are kept only as long as they are needed to score and validate your play.
Data in transit between the App and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Session and refresh tokens are held in encrypted secure storage on your device, and your session's refresh tokens are stored on our servers only as a hash, never in a form we could reuse. Our database is not reachable from the public internet.
If you sign in with Apple, we additionally hold the refresh token Apple issues for that sign-in, in a form we can use — this is the one exception to the paragraph above. Its only purpose is so we can tell Apple to revoke your sign-in when you delete your account; we do not use it for anything else, and it is deleted along with the rest of your account data at that point.
You can delete your account, and everything tied to it, from inside the App: go to Settings → Delete account and press and hold to confirm. This works whether you play as a guest or with a linked sign-in, takes effect immediately, and cannot be undone. If you are signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes that sign-in on Apple's side, not just in our records.
If you can no longer open the App — the device is lost, or it is uninstalled — you can instead email sparkgridgames@gmail.com from the device you played on and tell us your in-game nickname; we will confirm before deleting anything.
For the full procedure, including exactly which data is deleted and which is kept, see Delete your account.
Number Workshop is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will address it.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Where we rely on your consent (such as ad personalisation), you can withdraw it at any time via Settings → Ad privacy choices. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale or sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. See section 5 for ad personalisation, section 11 for deletion, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.
As a Malaysia-based publisher we process personal data in accordance with the PDPA. You have the right to access and request correction of your personal data, and to ask how it is used, by contacting us below.
To exercise any of these rights, email sparkgridgames@gmail.com. Please include your in-game nickname so we can locate your save.
Our servers are hosted in Singapore. Our service providers and ad partners (Google, Apple, Railway, Unity, Liftoff and AppLovin) operate infrastructure in multiple countries, which means your information may be processed outside your home country, including in the United States. Those providers maintain their own safeguards for such transfers, described in their privacy policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
